If you've been working the trade show exhibits for a while without hiring someone to help with trade show displays, you probably have a stock trade show booth or display you've been using for a while. Guess what? People are tired of it. If you go to the same city twice (which you probably will) everyone has already seen your booth and won't stop by again.

This is why I encourage you to update your trade show booth with the help of consultants and designers. The best trade show exhibit booths are original. People come over to your trade show booth if they are intrigued by the design or lighting. Not everyone comes over because of your product - especially if they have no idea what your product is until they are at your booth.

Think about it. Most people at these trade show exhibits wander around aimlessly. Think of going shopping - you probably don't stop at every rack or every section of the store unless something catches your eye. The same is true for your trade show booth. Give people a reason to come to you and, more importantly, give them a reason to stay.

Your trade show booth is like a calling card. Change it up a little and people will get used to the fact that, every time they see you, something is a little different. You'll create a sort of following just by making people expect that you'll have a new design or different furniture or a football game on. The nice thing about trade show rentals is that using the same company means they have a record of what they've done for you and they'll adjust your trade show booth accordingly.
